WHO WE ARE: About Soupçon Salon
"The mission of Soupçon Salon is to provide a space that unites people to build a more beautiful and equitable world. We connect people through art, music and creative expression, health and wellness, community organizations, social connections, mutual aid, and education."
Since its inception as an artist gathering in 2008 on off-nights at a quaint and beloved French Provençal restaurant, Soupcon Salon has brought people together. When people come together, they form relationships. When people form relationships, they build solidarity. When people build solidarity, they become empowered. When people become empowered, they change the world.
This is what we do.
Partnership
Soupçon Salon is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Although the terms are interchangeable, we specifically call people in our collective partners, not members, for two reasons. The word “member” sounds both too exclusive and too passive. Soupçon is inclusive and partners are expected to be active participants in the creating the society they want to see. Working towards utopia is hard work, but we can only do it together.
How to Join
Partners pay yearly dues of $120 ($10/month) to join, and can sign up on the website or by visiting the gallery and finding a QR code for joining. The dues are used to make sure operations go smoothly, to pay the rent, and to maintain equipment and property. In the future, they may also be used to fund projects and additional partner benefits.
Partner Benefits
Use of the Gallery Space
Soupçon Salon is located at 25 Bridge Street, right in the heart of Lambertville, and the public entrance is through Bucks Coffee Shop. Partners may use the Gallery space to host their own events. If you are a partner and want to propose an event, you can log in and propose an event.
Community Calendar Postings
All Partners can log into the site and post an event to the Community Calendar. While the Public can submit an event to post to the Community Calendar, they must wait for approval.
"The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible."
