NoFi-NJ Avant Mic invites outside-the-box thinkers, musicians, performance artists, poets, and filmmakers to join us the FIRST FRIDAY of each month for our experimental open mic at Soupçon Salon Gallery.

This month join us for DREAMACHINE NIGHT, an exciting art installation courtesy of Edley ODowd and constructed by Zarah.

A rotating stroboscopic device, the legendary Dreamachine was originally invented by Brion Gysin and Ian Sommerville in 1959, and famously used by William S. Burroughs as an avenue for hallucinatory, dream-like inspiration for his writing.

Experience the mind-altering effects of the Dreamachine for yourself with a precisely constructed replica of the original, hand built by Zarah, which will be in operation near the stage during avant mic performances.

Featured Artists: EDLEY ODOWD & JOE STRASSER
